2. When there are two or more adjectives they are not usually separated by AND except when the last two are adjectives of colour:
• A big square box; a tall young man; six yellow roses
• A black and white cup; a red, white and blue flag

3. With be, seem, appear, look, AND is placed between the last two adjectives:
• The house looked large and inconvenient
• The weather was cold, wet and windy.

4. seguono un ordine che va dal più soggettivo al più oggettivo (a nice, blong English girl). Se due aggettivi hanno lo stesso grado di soggettività quello più corto va prima (a kind efficient secretary). Se il grado di oggettività riguarda il fisico l’ordine è il seguente: dimensione, età, forma, colore, origine, materia (a big, old, round, brown, French, wooden table)

5. preceduto da the, l’aggettivo qualificativo ha valore di sostantivo plurale e indica tutte le persone appartenenti a una stessa categoria (The old are weak).
